Concept Development

This design draws from the landscapes of California golf courses and the warmth of their clubhouses. The first floor interprets the course itself through bunker-inspired curves, shifts in texture between fairway and green, and the natural rhythm of the terrain. A predominantly green palette reinforces this connection, with each zone—tee box, fairway and rough—forming its own spatial vignette. The second floor transitions into the clubhouse experience, using terracotta-toned browns and warm materials that reference California architecture. Together, the store becomes a green escape from New York, inviting visitors to experience and try on golfwear within an environment that subtly echoes the course.
The check pattern draws from Scotland’s traditional tartan, referencing golf’s origins and its ties to clan and regional identity. Reinterpreted through the brand’s LA-inspired color palette, it blends the sport’s heritage with a modern, youthful energy—reflecting the brand’s West Coast identity and its reimagining of golf for a new generation.
This section showcases a series of AutoCAD drawings that detail the project’s spatial layout and technical development. This includes floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), elevations, and sections that illustrate the functional organization and design intent.
The 3D Renderings section features visuals produced using SketchUp and Enscape, capturing the project’s atmosphere, materiality, and lighting. These renderings translate the design into realistic, immersive scenes that reflect the spatial intent and overall aesthetic.
The Diagrams section includes a series of analytical and conceptual visuals that break down key aspects of the design. These include evaluations of the floor plans and RCPs, sound mapping diagrams, and concept/mood diagrams that reinforce the project's spatial and atmospheric goals.
